So, I'm a soccer mom!

The other day, we went to sign Superman up for soccer. He starts in April and will learn the basic fundamentals of the game and then have mini- games with his team in May. He is SO pumped! I am looking forward to him getting some great exercise and making new friends. He's really excited and has already asked me a hundred times if it's April yet? It's going to be a long couple months!

27 Pounds gone!

Since January 1st, Jefferson and I have been working on making changes in our house- we've been eating differently, exercising, drinking more water and taking lots of small steps to get healthy. Since the first, we've lost a combined 27 pounds- he's lost 15 and I've lost 12. I am so proud of my husband and his hard work!
We've both needed to lose weight for a long time, but this is the first time we've ever committed to doing it together. I cannot begin to tell you what a huge difference it makes!

BUNNY CHOCOLATE, or not!

Dear Superman and Ladybug,
I have a confession to make, my darling children. For a long time, too long really, you have been addicted to chocolate milk, or as we call it, "bunny chocolate". The truth is, we ran out of bunny chocolate syrup a few months ago and I never bought more. The nest time you asked for bunny milk, I gave you milk minus the bunny. And you did not notice. I'd been giving you bunny-less milk for a few months when Grandma brought some homemade syrup with her for Christmas. When that ran out, we went back to chocolate-less chocolate milk. And you haven't noticed. I love you two.
Love,
Mom!!

The funniest part of my day....

Superman and Ladybug are almost totally potty trained. They both wear underwear to bed and MOST mornings, wake up dry. Who woulda thunk it a year ago? Jefferson and I get the kids up every night a few hours after they have gone to bed to have them use the bathroom. I'm pretty sure they will NEVER wake up on their own and that we'll probably have to go to college with them to make sure they don't wet their beds. Anyway, I digress.... The funniest part of my day is always, always, always, regardless of any other funny thing in the day, is getting them up to go potty at night. Superman is pretty much comatose and tonight sat on my lap on the edge of the tub when I told him to go back to bed. Once he finally got up, he went into his room and tried to sleep on his dresser. Some nights, he tries to lay down in his closet or on the floor. Often times, he will babble to me and then get back into bed. I always tell him I love him and he grins, with his eyes closed, and then tells me, "I love you too, Mommy".
Ladybug goes from completely asleep to completely awake, to go potty, and then completely asleep again. Tonight, after she went potty, she demanded bunny chocolate (chocolate milk) and then after I assured her she would get it LATER (READ: in the morning), she went right back to sleep.
Yesiree, the funniest part of my day is always spending these precious moments with the monks in the bathroom at night. I know they won't really need me to wake them up to pee forever and I'm enjoying it while I can!

The Army Board

So, Ladybug got a pretend ironing board for Christmas. She had literally NO idea what to do with it, which I found hysterical. I am pretty sure that in close to three years of life, she has seen me use an iron, maayyybeee once....She's currently using it as a table for tea parties in her room!

While we were playing Boz's world of adventure the other day, Ladybug had to say something she is thankful for and she kept saying, army board, army board, over and over. We were all getting frustrated and FINALLY, Superman translated- "You know, the pink army board in her room?" Too funny!
