I'm trying to find the humorous in life right now and that means it's time for a little "best of" the Everyday Adventures blog. I found this little gem from December of 2007... enjoy! Incidently, if you're new to the blog, Ladybug= my second child. :)
Also, we went to Hubby's family the Saturday before Christmas and on Christmas. A good time was had by all. The kids received a ridiculous amount of toys.
Ladybug got sick.... we had her to the dr. on Thursday and her breathing was really bad... it was really scary for a bit on Thursday, but the medicine seems to working just enough to turn her from mild mannered darling to 2 1/2 foot tall farting dictator. Good news... apparently the "terrible two's" have made their apperance at the Everyday Adventures house. Good times. We're still entertaining the horrific three's on occassion.... Terrible two's, now they're a whopping good time.
Ladybug, aka Dictatorbug, has mastered the art of scaling the side of her crib and flinging herself onto the ground. Repeatedly. This coincides nicely with her apparent freak-out induced insomnia. I will spare you all the gorry details and just tell you that at 4:30 this morning, she was laying on my face, farting and meowing.... oh.. isn't she precious?
Also, she followed me around the house screaming, coughing and demanding that I remove her sweatshirt..... NOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW!!! And, the only way she will sleep is if I stand up and hold her. She scales the side of her crib and refuses to stay in her Dora Toddler bed. I packed the two of them in the car this morning and we took a driving tour of the area, mostly because I hoped they would fall fast asleep and I could utilize some free wi-fi time... not so my bloggy friends.... not so.
As we speak, they are watching tv and I am hiding, like a coward, in the office.... just a few moments of peace before the whinging and screaming begins again... and oh, it will, oh yes.... it will.....
I have sooooooooooooooooo much more I could share, but I'll save it for another post.... Also, you can pretty much count on a LOT more Ladybug stories in the coming year as she is what you might call, extremely verbal..... and completely adoreable and tyrannical. Good times.
