And I think the people want a new blog....
I know, it's been possibly forever since last I graced my adoreable blog with my sweet, sweet ramblings about our crazy little slice of life.... I could apologize, but I won't. Things are hectic here, as always and blogging about the madness just seems to get shoved, or flung, to the back burner.
A few things of note:
The college in the town where we currently live has been hosting some type of fat camp all summer. I, as an overweight adult, totally applaud the teenagers efforts to lose weight, together, this summer. We were driving by the dorm one evening, and happened to notice a large group of the campers sitting out front. Passing us on the road, driving ever so slowly and playing it's evil music was?- Extra points for you if you guessed : THE ICE CREAM TRUCK! Some things are just so clearly WRONG! I couldn't help but laugh out loud at the ambition of the ice cream truck driver! He must have figured kids outside at fat camp= some killer sales! Having once driven an ice cream truck, or rather, ridden inside of an ice cream truck and sold melting ice cream, I definitly appreciate his efforts.
What? You didn't know? One time, Jefferson and I, in efforts to supplement our income during our first year of marriage, took on the awesome job of driving an ice cream truck. I think we only did it once, but the experience was enough to last a lifetime. The truck was old and rickety and the ice cream was melting quickly. We concentrated on driving around areas where we knew people and we probably spent way too much time chatting and not enough time selling. The owner of the truck was pretty disappointed with our sales and informed us he could sell ice cream to eskimos in a blizzard. Show off!
Ahhh... memories.
